What Makes it Wright?

Lots of buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. If you're interested in taking a tour of one of his buildings, call the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center at (608) 588-7900, or stop-in during the ride. The Visitor Center is housed in the only Wright building originally designed as a restaurant.
Taliesin (1912, 1914, 1925) and Hillside Home School (1902) are two of many Wright buildings in the area. "Shining Brow" is arguably Wright's most important work. It served as Wright's home and as a workshop for himself and young architects who wanted to learn and practice organic architecture. Wright designed the second Hillside Home School for his Aunts Nell and Jane Lloyd Jones. The building now serves as the summer home of the Taliesin Fellowship.
Unity Chapel (1886): As a teen, Wright designed the chapel's interior. His grave marker is located in the cemetery surrounding the chapel, even though his remains are in Arizona.
