Danenet has two types of volunteer opportunities that can help you put your IT skills to work serving our community:
CommunityIT is DANEnet's most active volunteer program. CommunityIT volunteers meet on evenings and weekends to do volunteer IT projects at local nonprofit organizations. CommunityIT projects are scheduled on the basis of current needs and can vary in frequency from once a week to up to every few months. Projects can include network wiring, computer lab and PC setup, server setup and more.
To find out more about CommunityIT projects you can contact , our project coordinator. If you would like to be notified of upcoming events you can sign up for the Community Computing (commcomp) listserv, check the commcomp archive to see past posts or Like us on Facebook.
Would your company or department like to participate in a computer related special project at a local nonprofit organization? DANEnet can match you with a nonprofit, assist with scheduling and provide a worklist, orientation and needed oversight for the project. Volunteer projects can include network wiring, computer refurbishing, lab setup or other needed IT work. Interested? .
